FOSEA (Friends of Sustainability and Ecology Association) is committed to redefining sustainability as a cornerstone of corporate and societal progress. Our revised vision targets the creation of 100 million FOSEA fellowships by July 10, 2030, fostering a network of advocates who will embed sustainability as the KPIM—replacing traditional financial metrics with environmental and social performance indicators—across Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa. This white paper presents our strategic goals and projects to realize this vision.
Fellowship Expansion: Achieve 100 million FOSEA fellowships by July 10, 2030, through education, training, and community engagement programs. Corporate Transformation: Influence 75% of major corporations in Nigeria and 50% in Sub-Saharan Africa to adopt sustainability as their KPIM by 2030. Policy Advocacy: Secure the integration of sustainability KPIMs into national and regional policies by 2028. Environmental Impact: Restore 10 million hectares of degraded land and reduce carbon emissions by 20% across the region by 2030. Projects and Timeline (2025–2030)
FOSEA envisions a region where 100 million individuals are empowered as fellowships by 2030, driving sustainability to become the KPIM of corporate strategy. This network will catalyze a shift from profit-centric models to ones prioritizing ecological balance, community well-being, and equitable growth, influencing policies, businesses, and grassroots initiatives across Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa.
